Accessibility Statement

BIT Consultancy regards accessibility as part of the service it provides. We work to make this website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities who use assistive technologies.

Standard applied

This website was built to meet the Israeli Standard IS 5568, which adopts the international WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA, in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013.

What has been done

• Semantic HTML structure with a correct heading hierarchy on every page.
• Full keyboard operation — every link, button and form field is reachable and operable with the keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
• A “Skip to content” link as the first focusable element on each page.
• Text alternatives for images; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Form fields with permanently visible, programmatically associated labels, and error messages announced to screen readers.
• Content that reflows and remains usable when text is enlarged, and on small screens.
• Respect for the operating system’s “reduce motion” preference — the homepage slideshow stops automatically.
• An accessibility toolbar (the icon at the bottom-left of every page) offering text enlargement, line and letter spacing, dark and light high-contrast modes, monochrome, a readable font, link and heading highlighting, a reading guide, a large cursor, and animation stop. Choices are remembered between visits.

Known limitations

We aim for full conformance, but the following are known and are being addressed:

• Some documents linked from the Selected Publications page are hosted by third parties (journals and institutions) and may not be fully accessible. If you need any of them in an accessible format, contact us and we will provide it.
• Content added after publication may not always meet the standard immediately. If you encounter such content, please tell us and we will correct it.

Compatibility

The site was tested with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, on desktop and mobile. It is designed to work with common screen readers, including NVDA and VoiceOver.

Meetings with BIT Consultancy are held by prior appointment. If you need accessibility arrangements, please tell us when scheduling and we will arrange an accessible venue or a remote meeting.
